This is for anyone who has gotten 20 Trap's new EP "Generica":

What do you all think of it? I'm seriously in love with the entire CD. It's been in my player non-stop since I got it.

Desert Skies Coffee Show
I'm a little behind in my updating...So Scott did a show at Desert Skies Coffee in Rochester on 8/10. The show was supposed to start at 8 but there were some technical difficulties that had to be sorted out. I put in a call to my friend Joe who is in the band Delusional Spell(www.dspell.com)and he brought a PA over but Scott was still missing a cable. He made a run to Radio Shack but the guy closed 10 minutes early and wouldn't let Scott in. So he ended up doing the first set unamplified. He played TAKE THESE SONGS, BOUNCY BALL, WINK AND SMILE, AROUND THE MOON, WAITING, PRETTY TO ME, PICTURE and more that I can't remember. Mandy's husband was able to bring the cable so the second set was amplified and Mandy sang harmony. They sang FOR THE FIRST TIME, KNEW YOU COULD, EASY, HERE SHE COMES, DROP ZONE, WHERE DO YOU GO, ELENA ARMSTRONG and a couple others.

Scott Harris House Concert
I had a house concert on Friday August 9th. Show was set to start at 8 and Scott got to my house....at 8! There were traffic problems--needless to say I was a wreck. There were 22 people in my house and no guest of honor. But Scott showed up and it was all good. He sang HERE SHE COMES, WINK AND SMILE, PRETTY TO ME, FOR THE FIRST TIME, SIMPLE, KNEW YOU COULD, CRAZY, AROUND THE MOON,TAKE THESE SONGS, TASTY, CHATTER CHATTER, WHERE DO YOU GO and more. He sang "Tasty" and "Take These Songs" by request. I think "Take These Songs" is one of my favorite songs ever. After he was done singing we all sat around and talked about rollar skating, Mr. Bojangles and other assorted topics. Scott is a super nice guy and gained many new fans that night. I highly recommend a house concert to anyone considering it.

I just realized...
...I never updated here about my house concert, which was last Saturday. Well, it was AMAZING!! I highly recommend everyone has one of their own. We got started around 9 p.m. Set list included (but not in this order), KNEW YOU COULD, HERE SHE COMES, SIMPLE, FOR THE FIRST TIME, BOUNCY BALL, CRAZY (cover), ELENA ARMSTRONG, I DARE YOU, LIE, PRETTY TO ME, WAITING, PICTURE, WINK AND A SMILE (??), and AROUND THE MOON. Yeah, I know that's a pretty extensive set list. Scott played for about an hour, then we took a break for refreshments, then came back about 30 minutes later for a another set. Show ended around 11:45 and we enjoyed birthday cake (no, it's not my birthday, or anyone's for that matter...). He jetted around 12 to go back to NY. Like I said, I recommend everyone has their own house concert. My dog even liked it, because he made himself a new friend, Scott. Hehe! Adios all!

Point Show
Scott did a show tonight at the Point in Bryn Mawr. It was the Point's Showcase night, so it was a short set. Songs included (but not in this order) AROUND THE MOON, CHATTER CHATTER, SIMPLE, FOR THE FIRST TIME, HERE SHE COMES, WAITING, WHERE DO YOU GO, and SOMEBODY. Great set with great accompanying musicians. It was basically a warm- up show for my house concert this weekend! I'm so excited, I better go calm down. Hope to hear about more shows on here soon.

More Scottie shows...
Hey Everyone,
Since we're all talking future Scott shows I thought I'd mention the ones in Rochester, NY. August 9th is a house concert at this really cool girl's house...her name is Jen but some people call her Pete...she's really fun to hang out with and the show will be a blast(and I have single guy friends I'm willing to set girls up with if that's incentive for anyone...) :) August 10th is a show at Desert Skies Coffee, show starts at 8. I recommend the Heath Mocha Frappe;) Both shows should be awesome!!

Scott and Sean Altman
Such an amazing show!!! They mixed it up a little, had Sean start a few by himself (he embarrassed his dad a number of times) then Scott came up and did a song with him and then did his own material. I can't remember all of Sean's songs and since this isn't a community journal dedicated to him, I'm just going to skip to the songs Scott did. Here's a list (not in any order and it might not be complete): RING AROUND THE MOON, WAITING, FOR THE FIRST TIME, SIMPLE (with Sean singing harmony), WINK AND SMILE, WHERE DO YOU GO, ELENA ARMSTRONG, PRETTY TO ME, I DARE YOU, CHATTER CHATTER, TASTY, HERE SHE COMES and a cover of CRAZY. (I'm probably forgetting some of the songs). He did do a little egg shaking with some songs for Sean and Sean did the same for him. He was completely off the hook, the stories he told were hilarious. He stated at one point that sometimes he missed having someone to tell him to shut up. He was so happy last night, it was great to see him smiling genuinely for the entire show. Next show in Boston area is at the Boarders in Braintree next month (I think he said the 16th but I 'm not sure. I'll let you know how that is.

Favorite Scott songs...
Ah... favorite Scott song. That's difficult. I haven't had the pleasure of listening to all of his newer live stuff yet, so I'm gonna keep it to 20 Trap for now. :) My two favorites have to be "Simple" and "For the First Time". Primarily due to lyrics, though I do like the music to "Simple" very very much.

Everyone who's going to the show at Passim... I'm so envious! Hehe: I haven't seen Scott perform on his own at all, with Cubbyhole or otherwise, and I really do want to see him on stage again. All Scott Harris concert-goers, please report back with many many details! :)

Thanks for updating, Jenn! Glad to hear the show was great! I wish I could make it to the show at Club Passim next week since I love both Scott and Sean Altman's music, but unfortunately I have a midterm the next day. Hope it's a great show! Please post an update about it! Thanks again!

Hello and show update
Hi all. I'm Jenn from MA. I saw Scott perform last night at the Kendall Cafe so I have an update on the show. Also to go along with past posts, I would have to say my fav song is SIMPLE followed closely by RING AROUND THE MOON. Here's the review:
Went to Scott's show last night. It was a really tight show and the sax and drums were great!! (don't know who was on drums but a guy named Brian was playing sax). A couple of songs I'd never heard before (well, except online). AND he did TASTY (YEAH!!! - sounded really different with sax and drums though (yes, that is a statement of the obvious)). Ok, so here's the set list: (in order) SOMEBODY, PRETTY TO ME, SIMPLE, TASTY, FOR THE FIRST TIME, WHERE DO YOU GO?, ELENA ARMSTRONG, CRAZY (cover), RING AROUND THE MOON, and I DARE YOU. It has definitely been too long since I've seen him! Talked a little about reviews (grr lol) then about the show next week. He's really excited about the show at Club Passim in Cambridge MA on Thursday ... so anyone in the area who doesn't have tickets yet GET THEM!!!!

My Favorite Scott song
I've always really liked the song "Take these songs". I first heard it when he sang it with Ball in the House and I've since downloaded Scott singing it when it was on the Cubbyhole webpage. My favorite song from 20 Trap is "Here She Comes". It's really upbeat and fun.

Hello fellow Scott Harris fans! Thank you Sheri, for creating this community: great idea! I'm a big fan of his lyrics, and I think there's a huge base of people out there who would love what he does. I haven't been able to see Scott perform solo yet at all, but I do hope I'll be able to in the near future. Until then, I'll content myself with stories and concert reviews from this LJ community :)

Hope everyone is well!
